Description
The Chateau Durfort Vivens owes its reputation to a dynasty of men and women, who have dedicated their lives to the maintenance of this excellent terroir. The powerful 14th century Durfort family of Duras, alongside the Vicomte de Vivens, gave the chateau its name, before the Lurton family acquired the property in 1937.In the heart of the Margaux appellation, these great families have carved the way for an extraordinary Second Growth.Strong characters are needed to produce legendary wine, to find the necessary balance between soil and vine, and to tame a unique territory defined by gravel-rich hillocks.
