Description
The vineyards at Chateau Dauga produce a Haut-Médoc Cru Artisan of exceptional quality
In Cussac-Fort-Médoc, the vines of Chateau de Lauga have belonged to the Brun family for over 6 generations.
Ideally placed in the space that separates a couple of the Medoc's biggest names (Margaux to the south, Saint Julien to the north), Chateau de Lauga produces a Haut-Médoc Cru Artisan of exceptional quality.
The tour begins with a walk through 9 hectares of sustainably grown vines.
Here, the soil is accorded the utmost respect: yields are closely controlled, grapes are hand picked at harvest time, and the resulting wines are aged in traditional oak barrels.
At the winery, visitors are talked through every stage of production, from harvest to bottling (all carried out in-house). The tour reaches its crescendo with one last tasting, which takes place in the chateau's cellars.
