Florise SICHEL
She is a triathlete. In order to beat her personal best, to find that elusive last ounce of energy required to get herself across of the finishing line, she draws inspiration from the winding pathways of the Medoc, drawing energy from the natural beauty of this exceptional landscape.
Since 2008, she has been covering vast distances in the Medoc, along paths that she knows like the back of her hand. The Medoc Estuary is quite literally her training ground.
Almost immediately after setting off from the family property, at the crack of dawn, she dives into the calm waters of the Estuary. This is an enchanting moment, and a wonderful sight: swimmer and water in perfect harmony. Next up is a bicycle ride, along the winding roads that snake through fragrant woods.
The final stage of the triathlon is a run through the tranquil marshland, an idyllic spot to end an intense training session. Sport is of the utmost importance to the Sichel family, and Florise is no exception.
Through the “Sichel Sport” sporting association, family, friends, and wine estate associates gather regularly to enjoy the fundamental values of sharing and self-improvement that go hand in hand with sport, and particularly the triathlon.
