Description
This 1855 Third Growth is one of the Margaux appellation's smallest vineyards
After its eponymous founder, an 18th century royal courtier, relinquished the chateau, this magnificent vineyard passed from family to family. From Jacques Merlaut who oversaw its renaissance, to current owner Claire Villars Merlaut who introduced biodynamic winegrowing methods: every stage in the Chateau Ferrière's existence tells its own story.
With only 18 hectares of vines, this 1855 Margaux Third Growth is one of the appellation's smallest vineyards, making it one of the region's most sought after bottles.
Visit the chateau, and learn more about its history and exceptional, natural production methods (certified organic since 2015). On offer here is a memorable tour for privileged guests, an opportunity to discover the secrets of a noble vineyard, and taste a few of its magnificent vintages.
