Description
Pilgrims have been welcomed to the Haut-Médoc for generations, hence the large number of specialist guesthouses that line the route.
Following the seashell signs that indicate the "Via Turonensis", Santiago de Compostela pilgrims can reach the major pilgrimage site of Bordeaux in a matter of hours.
Cross the estuary on the ferry from Blaye to Lamarque, and follow the footpath that passes some of the Medoc's finest chateaus.
